StreetWeave FAQ: Road Mapping for New Communities
StreetWeave maps new subdivision roads so buyers, trade partners, and delivery drivers can find your sites on Google Maps, Apple Maps, OpenStreetMap, and TomTom.
How it works
What is StreetWeave
StreetWeave is a road mapping service for homebuilders and developers. We add new streets to the major map platforms and monitor progress through go live. See the full workflow.
How does StreetWeave add roads to Google Maps and Apple Maps
We prepare accurate GIS road geometry from your plat or civil plan set, submit through the correct channels for Google and Apple, and track each stage until updates publish. We also submit to OpenStreetMap and TomTom for complete coverage.
What are the steps after I order
- Place an order for each community at Map Your Communities.
- Complete the intake and upload the plat map or share a link.
- We trace roads in GIS and prepare submittals.
- We submit to Google, Apple, OSM, and TomTom.
- We monitor status and send updates.
- We confirm routing works and send the go live note.
Timelines
How long until roads appear on maps
Our prep time is usually one to three business days per community. Google updates often appear within one to two weeks. Apple, OSM, and TomTom can take longer depending on region. We keep you updated at key milestones.
Can StreetWeave prioritize my project
Yes. Choose priority service at checkout for same day start when files arrive before noon local time. Platform review speed is controlled by each provider.
Pricing
How much does StreetWeave cost
Simple per community pricing that covers prep, submission to all platforms, and monitoring. Volume discounts are available for portfolios. View pricing and order.
What is included
- Road geometry prep from your plat or approved source
- Submittals to Google, Apple, OSM, and TomTom
- Status checks and re-submittals if needed
- Final verification that routing works for model home and sales center
What is not included
Address point creation, unapproved street names, or sign off from local addressing authorities. We can advise next steps if these items are needed.
What we need
What files should I provide
A clean plat map or civil plan set with legible street names. Optional GIS files can help. We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, SHP, and GeoJSON.
Do street names need to be approved
Yes. Names must match the approved plan set from your authority. If names change mid project, tell us at once so we can update submissions.
Platforms and coverage
Which platforms does StreetWeave support
Google Maps, Apple Maps, OpenStreetMap, and TomTom. This covers the most common navigation apps and data pipelines used by buyers and delivery services.
Does StreetWeave work outside the United States
Yes in many regions. Share the location and a sample plat and we will confirm feasibility and expected timelines for that area.
After go live
How does StreetWeave confirm success
We test routing to key points such as the model home, sales center, and typical lot blocks. We also spot check names and connections to existing roads.
What if a platform rejects a road
We review feedback, adjust geometry or evidence, and resubmit. If a local rule blocks it, we outline options such as address authority involvement or phasing by construction stage.
Billing
How do I place an order
